灯，能为人们带来温暖；
灯，能照亮黑暗的世界。
灯，如佛光；
照亮世人的慈悲心，
遍满娑婆世界。

点灯八种利益
神通第一的目犍连尊者，曾上忉利天说法，看见天女美貌庄严而赞叹不已。
天女说，过去在频婆娑罗王时代，因点灯功德而招感相好庄严的殊胜果报。在《法苑珠林》里，也提到点灯有八种利益：
一、美貌相好；
二、信心增上；
三、道德、戒律增上；
四、眷属和合、美满增上；
五、辩才增上；
六、修行增上；
七、出生人间，可生富贵家。生天，可增品增位；
八、看清目标，照亮前途，果证菩提。

Light Offering 🪔
Since the dawn of time, light has given us warmth and kept the shadows at bay.

In Buddhism, light represents the Buddha’s wisdom and humanity’s compassion, radiating endlessly across the world.

This Wesak, let us light a lamp to achieve wisdom and illuminate our path through the darkness of ignorance.

By the power of this light offering, may we pray for all beings be well and happy.
