L FOR LAUGHTER
Laughter is a strong medicine – it releases chemicals that do wonders for your mental health, immune system and stress levels. Remember that all phenomena has the nature of emptiness and non-self (anatta). So, don’t take things or yourself too seriously! Go ahead and laugh at your silly mistakes!

M FOR METTĀ
Mettā means loving-kindness, a universal love for all living things without expecting anything in return. This selfless attitude helps in overcoming the Three Poisons, which are ignorance, greed and hatred. Doing mettā meditation can make one feel less isolated, have increased sense of purpose, and less illness.

N FOR NO SOCIAL MEDIA TIME
Social media is great but every now and again, you need a social media detox to reconnect with yourself, the real world and all the awesome things in your life.

According to studies, the more time you spend on social media, the more likely you are to develop depression – comparing yourself to others and having low self-esteem.

O FOR OUTDOOR
Fresh air and nature do wonders to your mental health. Take a walk in the park, a trip to the woods or countryside. It destresses and calms the mind, bringing peace and clarity to the mind.
